Meet Joe

Joe is a single working father with one or more children. He works for the Boston T as a mechanic. He and his daughter live paycheck to paycheck, averaging an income of $35,000-$40,000 a year. Joe lives a semi minimalist lifestyle and has a low amount of disposable income to spend on himself and his wardrobe. 

The Man Cave features clothing for the wants of the everyday working man or dad. Our company strives to provide basic and affordable menswear for a man with a simple, minimalistic lifestyle. We focus mainly on men's basics and business casual clothing, along with a variety of sports related options for the average sports fanatic to dress to any occasion.

Our Metrics of Success

Our goal as a company is to obtain minimally $336 in sales per each square foot (Nicasio, 2018). Sales will go up if we are able to improve our store layout and incentivize our customer to stay longer in the store. We can do this by hosting promotions, sales, and events. We would like one small sale a month as well as an event every two months and 2 big sales a year, not including Black Friday. Events will also be held when the seasons roll over and a large amount of new merchandise is brought in. Events may include a brewery coming in and giving samples, or activities for children to do while their dad can shop around (Suggett, 2018) It is important that our employees talk and check in on each customer, since men have a tendency to leave rather than ask (Honigman, 2013). We want to gain brand awareness through social media and advertisement. Getting ads on major search engines is essential so that when possible customers search men’s clothes in Boston, our website pops up first with an option to download our app. Also mouth to mouth will be very important because men typically shop based on recommendations they receive from friends. Downloading our app is very important and we hope to have minimally 50 new downloads a month. Social media, advertisements, our app, and mouth to mouth discussion will all help us to gain new customers and increase foot traffic.
